New music, new name?

All quiet on the metal front.

Times are changing, and so do people. This is a well known fact, and I thing this is good the way it is.

I came to a point where I do not longer feel the need to go on with screaming and shredding. Maybe some day I will, maybe I won‘ one knows.

A few years ago I started a project with my beloved gal that needed so time to grow. Now we were at a marker, and step out of the shadow of privacy, into the light of existence.

We play only acoustic instruments and record with just one microphone, like in the days of old. It is dark, personal and mature music. We call it „folk noir“. It represents the sad and angry, the bitter and lonly temper we feel and express through this musically project.

The band is called Nocturnal Barking. You can find us on Instagram or fucking Facebook. As soon as the recordings are ready, we‘ll have a bandcamp account for listening and a sound storage medium for taking home.

This is not the new Syrgðr Skógr album, but it is an important part of me...and I am Syrgðr Skógr.

Take care, with love
